Key Issues

We are the gateway to Zion National Park and Springdale.  I am definitely a proponent of a town square/city center with some nice ambiance and atmosphere that will encourage visitors to stop and shop and spend money here instead of Springdale.  Having a welcoming and inviting atmosphere downtown would encourage that.   

Water is also a primary concern with more development.  As a member of the city council, I will be supportive of policies that look at utilizing our reservoirs and water re-use systems more effectively.  I like the idea of another reservoir in Warner Valley.   

As a speech/language pathologist in the school district, my caseload continues to increase each year due to growth.  I am supportive of policies which allow these families to have space to recreate and play.   I will study each new development and business proposal carefully to ensure that Hurricane will continue to be accomodate these needs.
